Dërgimi i shtatëdhjetë e dy dishepujve
1 Pas këtyre gjërave, Zoti caktoi shtatëdhjetë e dy të tjerë dhe i dërgoi përpara dy nga dy në çdo qytet e në çdo vend ku do të shkonte ai vetë. 2 Dhe u tha: «Të korrat janë të mëdha, por punëtorë ka pak. Lutjuni të zotit të të korrave të dërgojë punëtorë në të korrat e veta. 3 Shkoni! Ja, po ju dërgoj si qengjat mes ujqve. 4 Mos merrni me vete as para, as trastë, as sandale. Udhës mos përshëndetni askënd. 5 Në cilëndo shtëpi të hyni, së pari thoni: “Paqja me këtë shtëpi!”. 6 Nëse dikush aty është bir i paqes, paqja juaj do të zbresë mbi të; nëse jo, do të kthehet te ju. 7 Qëndroni në atë shtëpi dhe hani e pini çfarë t'ju shtrojnë para, sepse punëtori ka të drejtë të shpërblehet. Mos u endni nga një shtëpi në tjetrën. 8 Në çdo qytet ku të hyni e t'ju mirëpresin, hani çfarë t'ju vënë para, 9 shëroni të sëmurët që gjenden aty e u thoni: “Mbretëria e Perëndisë është pranë jush”. 10 Por nëse hyni në një qytet e nuk ju mirëpresin, dilni nëpër sheshet e tij e thoni: 11 “Edhe pluhurin e qytetit tuaj, që na është ngjitur këmbëve, po jua shkundim. Por veç ta dini se mbretëria e Perëndisë është afër”. 12 Unë po ju them se atë ditë Sodoma do ta ketë më të lehtë se ai qytet».
Mjerë qytetet e papenduara
(Mt 11.20-24)13 «Mjerë ti, Korazin! Mjerë ti, Betsaidë! Po të ishin bërë në Tir e në Sidon mrekullitë që u bënë ndër ju, ata do të ishin penduar me kohë, duke veshur thasë e duke u ulur në hi. 14 Megjithatë, Tiri e Sidoni do ta kenë më të lehtë, se ju në ditën e gjykimit. 15 Po ti, Kafarnaum,
mos vallë do të lartësohesh deri në qiell?
Në skëterrë do të plandosesh.
16 Kush ju dëgjon ju, më dëgjon mua e kush nuk ju pranon ju, nuk më pranon as mua. Kush nuk më pranon mua, nuk pranon as atë që më ka dërguar».
Kthimi i të shtatëdhjetedyve
17 Të shtatëdhjetë e dy dishepujt u kthyen me gëzim e i thanë: «Zot, edhe djajtë na nënshtrohen në emrin tënd!». 18 Jezui u tha: «E pashë Satanin tek binte nga qielli si rrufe. 19 Ja, ju kam dhënë pushtet të shkelni mbi gjarpërinj e akrepa, si edhe mbi tërë fuqinë e armikut. Asgjë nuk do t'ju bëjë keq. 20 Megjithatë, mos u gëzoni që ju nënshtrohen shpirtrat, por gëzohuni që emrat tuaj janë shkruar në qiell».
Gëzimi i Jezuit
(Mt 11.25-27Mt 13.16-17)21 Në atë çast Jezui u mbush me gëzim nga Shpirti i shenjtë e tha: «Të falënderoj, o Atë, Zot i qiellit e i tokës, se ua ke fshehur këto gjëra të urtëve e të mençurve dhe ua ke zbuluar fëmijëve të vegjël. Po, o Atë, se kështu të ka pëlqyer ty.
22 Gjithçka më është dhënë nga Ati im. Askush nuk e njeh Birin përveç Atit dhe askush nuk e njeh Atin përveç Birit dhe atij, të cilit Biri dëshiron t'ia zbulojë». 23 Pastaj Jezui u kthye drejt dishepujve e u tha veçmas: «Lum sytë që shohin çfarë shihni ju! 24 Sepse po ju them se shumë profetë e mbretër kanë dëshiruar të shohin çfarë po shihni ju e nuk i panë, të dëgjonin çfarë po dëgjoni ju e nuk i dëgjuan».
Samaritani i mirë
25 Atëherë një mësues i ligjit u ngrit për ta vënë në provë Jezuin e i tha: «Mësues, çfarë duhet të bëj për të trashëguar jetën e amshuar?». 26 Jezui i tha: «Çfarë shkruhet në ligj? Çfarë lexon atje?». 27 Ai iu përgjigj: «Duaje Zotin, Perëndinë tënd, me gjithë zemrën tënde, me gjithë shpirtin tënd, me gjithë forcën tënde e me gjithë mendjen tënde dhe duaje të afërtin si veten ». 28 Jezui i tha: «U përgjigje drejt. Bëj kështu e do të jetosh». 29 Por ai, meqenëse donte t'i jepte të drejtë vetes, i tha Jezuit: «Kush është i afërti?». 30 Jezui iu përgjigj: «Një njeri po zbriste nga Jerusalemi për në Jeriko dhe ra në duart e kusarëve që e zhveshën, e rrahën e pastaj ikën dhe e lanë gjysmë të vdekur. 31 Rastësisht një prift po zbriste asaj rruge dhe, kur e pa, kaloi në anën tjetër. 32 Po kështu edhe një levit, kur arriti tek ai vend dhe e pa, kaloi në anën tjetër. 33 Por një samaritan që po udhëtonte andej, iu afrua dhe kur e pa, ndjeu dhembshuri për të. 34 Shkoi tek ai, i derdhi vaj e verë mbi plagë dhe ia lidhi. Pastaj e ngarkoi mbi kafshën e vet, e çoi në një bujtinë dhe u kujdes për të. 35 Të nesërmen nxori dy denarë, ia dha të zotit të bujtinës e i tha: “Kujdesu për të dhe kur të kthehem, do të të paguaj për çfarë do të shpenzosh më tepër”.
36 Cili prej këtyre të treve, mendon ti, u bë “i afërti” për atë që ra në duart e kusarëve?». 37 Ai tha: «Ai që tregoi mëshirë». Jezui i tha: «Shko e bëj edhe ti kështu!».
Te Marta dhe Maria
38 Ndërsa po udhëtonin, Jezui hyri në një fshat, ku një grua me emrin Martë e priti në shtëpi. 39 Ajo kishte një motër që quhej Mari, e cila u ul te këmbët e Zotit dhe dëgjonte fjalët e tij. 40 Por Marta ishte e zënë me punë të shumta, prandaj erdhi te Jezui e i tha: «Zot, a nuk e vë re se motra ime më ka lënë t'i bëj të gjitha punët vetëm? Thuaji, pra, të më ndihmojë!». 41 Por Zoti iu përgjigj: «Martë, Martë, ti je e shqetësuar dhe e zënë me shumë gjëra, 42 por vetëm një gjë është e nevojshme. Maria zgjodhi pjesën më të mirë që nuk do t'i merret».
1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. 2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. 3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. 4 Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. 5 And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. 6 And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. 7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. 8 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: 9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. 10 But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, 11 Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. 12 But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city. 13 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. 14 But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you. 15 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell. 16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.
17 ¶ And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
21 ¶ In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. 22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
23 ¶ And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: 24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them ; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
25 ¶ And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? 27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. 28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. 29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? 30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him , and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him , and passed by on the other side. 33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him , 34 And went to him , and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. 36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? 37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
38 ¶ Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. 40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
