Psallm’ e Davidit, kur ishte ndë shkreti të Iudësë.
1 O Perendi, ti je Perëndia em, çë ndë nadie po të kërkoj, shpirti em ka et për tyi, mishi em ka mall për tyi ndë dhe të shkretë, e të thatë, e të pa-ujë,
2 qi të shof fuqinë tande edhe lavdinë tande, sikurse të pashë ndë vend të shenjtënuem.
3 Se përdëllimi yt ashtë ma i mirë se jeta, buzët’ e mia kanë me të lavduruem.
4 Kështu kam me të bekuem ndë jetët t’eme, mb’emënit tand kam me ngritunë duert’ e mia.
5 Shpirti em ka me u ngimë porsi prei të maimi e prei dhiami, edhe goja eme ka me të lavduruem me buzë gëzimi,
6 kur të kujtoj ndë shtrat t’em, tyi të shkoj ndër mend për gjithë horet’ e natësë .
7 Se m’u bane ndifma eme, përandai kam me u gëzuem ndënë hien’ e fletëvet tua.
8 Shpirti em u ngjit mbas teje, e diathta jote më ndif.
9 Por ata qi kërkojënë shpirtinë t’em, për me e bierrë, kanë me hymë ndë ma të poshtëmet anët’ e dheut,
10 kanë me ranë ndë duert të shpatësë, kanë me qenunë piesë dhelpënash.
11 Por mbëreti ka me u gëzuem mbë Perëndinë, ka me u lavduem kushdo qi ban be mb’atë, se ka me u mbëçelunë goja e atyne qi flasinë rrenë.
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it , shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
