Mbë të parinë kënkëtuar. Psallm’ e Dhavidhit.
1 Qiejtë tregonjënë lavdin’ e Perëndisë, edhe qëndresa dëften punën’ e duaret ati.
2 Dita i flet fjalë ditësë, edhe nata i dëften mënt natësë.
3 Nukë janë ligjërata, as fjalë, që të mos u ndigjonetë zëri.
4 Mbë gjithë dhenë doli zër’ i atyreve, edhe fjalët’ e atyreve (vanë) gjer mbë anë të botësë. Ndër ata vuri tendë për diellinë.
5 Edhe ky del posi dhëndërë prej dhomësë dhëndërisë, gëzonetë posi burr’ i fortë, kur sulet udhësë;
6 prej anësë qiellit është të dalët’ e ati; edhe të qarkuarët’ e ati (mbaronetë) gjer mb’anë të qiellit, edhe s’është (gjë) që fshihetë prej të nxehëtit ati.
7 Nom’ i Zotit ësht’ i këthiellëtë, që kthen shpirte; martyria e Zotit ësht’ e besuarë, që bën të mënçurë të mituritë;
8 urdhërimet’ e Zotit janë të drejtë, që gëzonjënë zëmrënë; porosia e Zotit ësht’ e ndriçime, që ndrit sytë,
9 frik’ e Zotit ësht’ e këthiellëtë, që mbetetë ndë jetë të jetësë, gjyqet’ e Zotit janë të vërtetë, (edhe) të drejtë fare;
10 janë më të dëshëruarshim se ari, po edhe më tepërë se ar’ i kulluarë, edhe më t’ëmbëlë se mialta, edhe pikat’ e hojit.
11 Shërbëtori yt fort tepërë këshillonetë me anë t’atyreve; ndë të ruajturit t’atyreve është shumë çpagim.
12 Kush kupëton fajetë? Qëro-më prej së mpshehëtavet punëra,
13 edhe ruaj shërbëtorinë tënt prej madhështish, le të mos zotëronjënë mbi mua, atëhere do të dal faqe-bardhë, edhe do të qëronem prej fajit math.
14 Le të jenë të pëlqyera fjalët’ e gojësë s’ime, edhe mendim’ i zëmrësë s’ime përpara teje kurdo, o Zot, ndihmësi im, edhe shpërblimtari im.

1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults .
13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
