1 laudate iusti Dominum rectos decet laudatio
2 confitemini Domino in cithara in psalterio decacordo cantate ei
3 cantate ei canticum novum diligenter psallite in
iubilo
4 quia rectum est verbum Domini et omne opus eius in fide
5 diligit iustitiam et iudicium misericordia Domini plena est terra
6 verbo Domini caeli facti sunt
et spiritu oris eius omnis ornatus eorum
7 congregans quasi in utre aquas maris
ponens in thesauris abyssos
8 timeat Dominum omnis terra
ipsum formident universi habitatores orbis
9 quia ipse mandavit et factus est ipso praecipiente stetit
10 Dominus dissolvit consilium gentium
irritas fecit cogitationes populorum
11 consilium Domini in aeternum stabit
cogitationes cordis eius in generatione et generatione
12 beata gens cuius Dominus Deus eius
populus quem elegit in hereditatem sibi
13 de caelo respexit Dominus vidit omnes filios Adam
14 de firmissimo solio suo prospexit ad universos habitatores terrae
15 fingens pariter cor eorum intellegens omnia opera eorum
16 non salvatur rex in multitudine exercitus
nec fortis liberabitur in multiplicatione virtutis
17 fallax equus ad salutem et in multitudine roboris sui non salvabit
18 ecce oculus Domini super timentes eum
et expectantes misericordiam eius
19 ut eruat de morte animam eorum
et vivificet eos in fame
20 anima nostra expectavit Dominum
auxilium nostrum et clipeus noster est
21 in ipso enim laetabitur cor nostrum
quia in nomine sancto eius speravimus
22 sit misericordia tua Domine super nos
sicut expectavimus te
A Psalm of David, Maschil.
1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
3 When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
6 For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
7 Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
