A Psalm of David, Maschil.
1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
3 When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
6 For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
7 Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

Exultate iusti in Domino rectos decet laudatio
2 confitemini Domino in cithara
in psalterio decem cordarum psallite illi
3 cantate ei canticum novum
bene psallite in vociferatione
4 quia rectum est verbum Domini et omnia opera eius in fide
5 diligit misericordiam et iudicium
misericordia Domini plena est terra
6 verbo Domini caeli firmati sunt
et spiritu oris eius omnis virtus eorum
7 congregans sicut in utre aquas maris
ponens in thesauris abyssos
8 timeat Dominum omnis terra
ab eo autem commoveantur omnes inhabitantes orbem
9 quoniam ipse dixit et facta sunt ipse mandavit et creata sunt
10 Dominus dissipat consilia gentium
reprobat autem cogitationes populorum
÷et reprobat consilia principum:
11 consilium autem Domini in aeternum manet
cogitationes cordis eius in generatione et generationem
12 beata gens cuius est Dominus Deus eius
populus quem elegit in hereditatem sibi
13 de caelo respexit Dominus vidit omnes filios hominum
14 de praeparato habitaculo suo
respexit super omnes qui habitant terram
15 qui finxit singillatim corda eorum
qui intellegit omnia opera illorum
16 non salvatur rex per multam virtutem
et gigans non salvabitur in multitudine virtutis suae
17 fallax equus ad salutem
in abundantia autem virtutis suae non salvabitur
18 ecce oculi Domini super metuentes eum
qui sperant super misericordia eius
19 ut eruat a morte animas eorum et alat eos in fame
20 anima nostra sustinet Dominum
quoniam adiutor et protector noster est
21 quia in eo laetabitur cor nostrum
et in nomine sancto eius speravimus
22 fiat misericordia tua Domine super nos
