1 Sepse na Zoti, Zoti i ushtërivet tek do të heqë pshtetëjen’ e ndihmënë nga Jerusalima e nga Judha, gjithë pshtetëjen’ e bukësë, edhe gjithë pshtetëjen’ e ujit,
2 të fortinë, e luftëtarinë, gjukatësinë, e profitinë, e të mënçëminë, e plakunë,
3 krye-pesë-dhietëshinë, e të nderëshiminë, këshillëtarinë, e mieshtrin’ e mënçim, e shortëtarin’ e urtë.
4 Edhe do t’u ap atyre çuna të vegjëlë për të parë, edhe foshnjetë do të zotëronjënë mbi ata.
5 Edhe gjëndëja do të shtrëngonetë: njeriu nga njeriu, edhe gjithë-se-cili nga i afërmi ti. I riu do të madhështonetë te plaku, edhe i poshtri te i nderëshimi.
6 Ndë zëntë njeri të vëllanë prej shtëpisë t’et, (e t’et i thotë): Qe rrobë, bënu i parë ndër një, edhe këjo prishëje (le të jetë) ndënë dorënë tënde.
7 Atë ditë do të bënjë be, e do të thotë: Nukë do të bënem miekës sepse ndë shtëpit t’ime s’kam as bukë, as rrobë. Mos më bëni të parin’ e gjëndëjesë,
8 sepse u prish Jerusalima, edhe Judha ra, sepse gluha e atyreve, edhe punët’ e atyreve (janë) kundrë Zotit, që të ndesnjënë syt’ e lavdis’ ati.
9 Të parët’ e faqes’ atyre deshmon kundrë atyreve, edhe leçitnjënë falin’ e tyre, posi Sodhomatë, nuk’ e fshehënë. Mjer shpirti i atyreve! Sepse i shpaguanë të këqia vetëhesë tyre.
10 Thoni të drejtit, se mirë (do të jetë për atë), sepse do të hajë pemën’ e duaret tia.
11 Mjer i paudhi! Keq (do të jetë për atë), sepse shpagimi i duaret ati do t’i bënetë.
12 Gjëndëjenë t’ime e shtrëngonjënë çuna të vegjëlë, edhe gratë zotëronjënë mbi atë. O gjëndëja ime, udhë-heqësit’ e tu të bënjënë të sillesh andej e këtej, edhe të prishnjën’ udhën’ e çapavet tua.
13 Zoti ngrihetë për të bërë gjyq, edhe rri për të gjukuarë gjëndëjetë.
14 Zoti do të hynjë ndë gjyq bashkë me pleqt’ e gjëndëjesë ti, edhe me të parët’ e asaj, sepse ju hëngrëtë vështinë; plaçkat’ e të vobegut (janë) ndër shtëpit tuaja.
15 Përse shtrënguatë gjëndëjenë t’ime, edhe bluatë faqet’ e të vobegjet - thotë Zoti Perëndia i ushtërivet.
16 Edhe Zoti thotë: Sepse bilat e Sionësë u madhështuanë, edhe ecënjënë me qafë të dreitë, e me sy të gënjyershim, ecënjënë butë, edhe ngërcëllonjënë me këmbët’ e tyre,
17 përandaj Zoti do të bënjë t’u bierë lesht’ e majësë kresë të bilavet Sionësë, edhe Zoti do të sbulonjë turpërin’ e atyreve.
18 Atë ditë Zoti do të heqë lavdin’ e stolivet që tringëllinjënë, edhe gërshetetë, e gjysma-hënëzatë,
19 qaforetë, e rrathët’ e duaret, e napatë,
20 kësulat’ e gërshetuara, e kofsharëtë, e lidhëjet’ e kresë, e kopëzat’ e erëravet, e vathëtë,
21 unazatë, e hundaretë,
22 stolit’ e larme, e rrobat’ e sipërme, e mbulesatë, e kuletatë,
23 pasqyratë, e të lintat’ e holla, e mitratë, e rrobat’ e verësë.
24 Edhe ndë vënt të erësë mirë, do të jetë qelbësirë; edhe ndë vënt të brezit, litar; edhe ndë vënt të komit bukurë, të rënë leshi; edhe ndë vënt të krahëroresë, të ngjeshurë thesi; të diegurë dielli, ndë vënt të bukurisë.
25 Burrat’ e tu do të therenë me thikë, edhe fuqia jote (do të mbesë) ndë luftë.
26 Edhe dyert’ e asaj do të psherëtinjënë e do të vajtonjënë, edhe ajo do të dirgjetë mbi truallt e shkretuarë.
1 For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water, 2 The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient, 3 The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator. 4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them. 5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable. 6 When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying , Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand: 7 In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people. 8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
9 ¶ The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves. 10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. 11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
12 ¶ As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths. 13 The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people. 14 The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses. 15 What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
16 ¶ Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet: 17 Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts. 18 In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet , and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon, 19 The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers, 20 The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings, 21 The rings, and nose jewels, 22 The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins, 23 The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails. 24 And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty. 25 Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war. 26 And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.
